Bristish Spice Blend

8-ounce jelly jar with lid

This homemade British Spice Blend is an awesome alternative whenever a spice blend is called for in any cake, pudding, or mixed spice baking recipe. This flavorful blend includes all of my favorite warm baking spices and ones I think you’ll love, too. This amazing picture comes from the “Bake it With Love” website.

This blend of warm, sweet spices is used for both savory and sweet cooking, but is traditionally used for holiday baking. This spice blend includes all spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, *mace, ground cloves, ground ginger, and ground coriander. These are the standard spices for this blend; however, ground cardamom and candied orange peel can also be added when baking sweet recipes.
