Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 jelly jar 8-ounce with a tight-fitting lid

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp ground allspice
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp ground nutmeg Substitute freshly grated
  • 2 tsps ground *mace
  • 2 tsps ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp ground coriander

Extra Special Ingredients: (personal choice)

  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp candied orange peel

Instructions
 

  • Combine all spices in a small bowl for immediate use. For storage, store in a jar with a tight-fitting lid, in a cool, dry, dark place away from any light.
    8-ounce jelly jar

1) *Mace: Nutmeg is the seed or ground spice of several species of the genus Myristica. Myristica fragrans is a dark-leaved evergreen tree cultivated for two spices derived from its fruit: nutmeg, from its seed, and mace, from the seed covering or skin.
