It’s been a year since my husband, Steve, and I moved into our log cabin in the mountains of Tennessee. This is My New Updated Kitchen, and below is the original kitchen. When I found this home, it had everything my husband wanted. Mountains, a private lake, waterfalls, caves, and trails. For myself, I wanted a new kitchen. Because it is an open kitchen floor plan, I wanted to make changes in the design and color. To complete the kitchen island, I added antique brass railings.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I wasn’t able to post as many recipes as I’d like, but now it’s going to be much easier. I’ve worked on this for about a year, designing and planning how to use this space and make it a working kitchen. You can see my spice cabinet on the front right side, and I’ll take you inside my pantry, also located on the right-hand side of the kitchen.

I wanted to show all the before and after pictures. I’m going to start with the original ones first. Oh yeah, you probably already know this about me, I love strawberries! 🍓🍓🍓
