I was strolling through the Whole Foods market when this display wheel of Parmigiano-Reggiano caught my eye. Oh yeah, the “on sale” sign too!

Right behind the Parmigiano-Reggiano wheel is an enormous wall of cheeses from around the world, I mean that literally! There are cheeses from all over the world, and I’m planning on trying a few of them in the very near future.

The most amazing moment was watching the process of opening of an eighty pound Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese wheel.

It turns out, this is a pretty big undertaking, and definitely takes some time to complete. Once that wheel is cracked open, it’s pretty awesome! I bought myself a couple of big wedges. When I returned home from the store, I placed one in the freezer and one in the frig. I think it’s going to be a pasta night!

There is nothing better than getting up early on a Saturday morning and heading out to the local Farmers’ market. This one is located a little north of the College Park area. They are amazing local farmers and just regular people who make artisanal cheeses, loaves of bread, and other products who are ready and willing to sell their products to the community.

Let me take you on a tour of this fabulous outdoor market, where there’s something for everyone!

East End Market

East End Market

East End Market is Central Florida’s Food and Culture Hub that’s totally inspired by local farmers. A vast array of artisanal vendors in one marketplace. Bakers, pasta makers, all the way to coffee roasters.

Their community roots run deep. As a diversified place for commerce and work- it’s most importantly a neighborhood gathering haven.

There is also a couple by the name of Brittany and Patrick Lynn who own Farm-Haus. A farm-to-table delivery service in Orlando. There are other delivery services in Orlando but this one specifically focuses on the farm-to-table experience. They off chef created dishes with same day delivery to homes as well as businesses. Visit East End Market at their location 3201 Corrine Dr. Orlando, Fl. 32803 or at www.eastendmkt.com for more information.
