I’m a mom with an enormous passion for cooking. I was raised by a single mom with English ancestry. My grandmother, on my father’s side, was Sicilian, both were really good cooks in their own right. Watching and helping in the kitchen played a big part in the dishes I make today.
I’ve been a server in restaurants all of my adult life. I’ve worked in all positions throughout my career from bussing tables to doing any prep that needed to be done for the back of the house. I learned so much and believe it’s helped me to be a better cook at home.
In 2008, my daughter, Melissa gave me a computer. To be honest, I wasn’t interested at all even getting started on learning how to use one. I had too much other stuff going on in my life to spend time learning how to use a computer. She persisted, and today I have my own food blog.
I’ll finish by saying, my cooking is a combination of English and Sicilian influences and it definitely shows in my dishes.
