Piccino is located in the Dogpatch neighborhood at 1001 Minnesota St. San Francisco, CA, 94107. They offer a great tasting of uncomplicated food.  Modern rustic Italian fare, creative small plates, and thin crust pizza.

My daughter, Melissa was there recently for a working lunch and sent back these pictures for me to share. She ordered the Strozzapreti, which from the menu sounds delicious. The dish includes asparagus, preserved lemons, capers, a slow-cooked egg, garlic crema, farro, tagliatelle, pancetta, and braised cabbage. Melissa, who lives meat-free, had them leave out the pancetta from her dish. I’m sure it was just as delicious.

Anyway, if you live around or are planning to visit the Bay Area, this is just another “little gem” I thought I’d share with you. You can visit www.piccino.com for more information.
