Let's Dish With Linda Lou

Sharing My Recipes, My Life, And The Food Tale Of Two Cities

Should I Laugh Or Cry

on October 8, 2013

Wow I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.  I said that my beef and broccoli recipe is coming up but I have to tell you what happened tonight.  I thought since I had some of the sauce left over from my Sunday gravy, I thought I’d make Chicken Parmesan.  Well, I grew up eating veal, eggplant, and chicken Parmesan a lot. I mean there was always sauce in my house growing up so you know you just get burnt out on certain dishes. I guess that’s why I had never made it for Steve.  So I asked him if he’d ever had Chicken Parmesan, and he said yes at Burger King around 1982.  I didn’t know if I was going to laugh or cry.  I said Steve, ” Your going to have it tonight”. After he tried it he said,  “He loved it and why had I not ever made this for him before”.  I suppose  I’ll be making this dish more often.  I’ll be putting my recipe for Chicken Parmesan up soon.
