Let's Dish With Linda Lou

Sharing My Recipes, My Life, And The Food Tale Of Two Cities

Should I Laugh Or Cry

Wow I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.  I said that my beef and broccoli recipe is coming up but I have to tell you what happened tonight.  I thought since I had some of the sauce left over from my Sunday gravy, I thought I’d make Chicken Parmesan.  Well, I grew up eating veal, eggplant, and chicken Parmesan a lot. I mean there was always sauce in my house growing up so you know you just get burnt out on certain dishes. I guess that’s why I had never made it for Steve.  So I asked him if he’d ever had Chicken Parmesan, and he said yes at Burger King around 1982.  I didn’t know if I was going to laugh or cry.  I said Steve, ” Your going to have it tonight”. After he tried it he said,  “He loved it and why had I not ever made this for him before”.  I suppose  I’ll be making this dish more often.  I’ll be putting my recipe for Chicken Parmesan up soon.

The Wok Shop

I think that everyone goes to what’s known as the China Town in San Francisco.  It was truly amazing. The food, the stores, and just watching the people up and down the street going about their business.  I knew I had to bring back a wok.  Melissa surprised me with oneImage and I use it all the time.
